We braved the cold this week at the Team Challenge and had an outstanding week of weight loss! 100.5 pounds were lost by our attending teams this week! (I've heard you burn more calories when you're cold) With only 152 pounds left to go with two weigh-in's...I BELIEVE we're going to have a record breaking challenge!
If you missed Tuesday, you missed a good one! We divided into two teams GREEN and RED! The competition heats up as the Team Challenge heads into week # 9! I am proud to say that I am the captain of the GREEN team! I thought I was doing pretty well dressed like an elf, sporting my GREEN heart, and passing out hearts to all my team, when Glenda reared her competitive head! Being the captain of the RED team she showed up at the end of the challenge in style! RED was obvious when she bounded through the door with a Santa costume on! She one upped me again by giving her team presents! I actually had some GREEN team mates that wanted to trade teams!
Here's the thing...we ALL know that the elves are the ones that do all the work! Santa comes out looking pretty good when he shows in his pretty RED suit handing out gifts...but the GREEN clad elves are doers! I'm counting on that!
Here's how the GREEN and RED competition works:
You got a ticket for your team just for showing up yesterday.
You get a ticket for your team for coming into the clinic for "The Day After Thanksgiving Day Scale" 5 to 8 AM!
You get a ticket for attending the Team Challenge next Tuesday.
You get a ticket for weight loss next Tuesday!
The team with the most tickets in their bucket wins, and we draw for one winner...a $100 visa gift card!

CHRISTMAS VACATION is our bridge between this Team Challenge and the next! It is going to be a fun, yet inspirational 4 weeks. From Nancy's entertaining ideas, to toasting the new year with you, we will be holding you accountable from December 14th through January 4th. This 4 week special will be at noon to one and six to seven...come and go betwen those times, to weigh in and receive community support! This 4 weeks special also includes weekday emails from me to you!
THE WINTER TEAM CHALLENGE begins again January 11th. We hope that most of you will be participating in yet another successful challenge! We'll have two times, noon and 6 PM for you to choose from.
Next Tuesday, November 30th is the last day you can receive the great discount for these two programs.

Along with all the fun, we had some big winners for the day!
At noon team 'Thin it to Win it' took the win with 2.27% for the week! Congrats Christie and Amy...you guys are so GREEN!
At Five, Gail and Alyssa, team 'Kickin' it with Kankles' took the win with 1.73 %. Another GREEN team I might add!!
And at Six, team 'TomKat' showed up for the GREEN team again, with a 1.27% loss for the week! Tom and Kathy, you guys are looking great!
We talked about our plans for Thanksgiving and it seems the teams are ready! With the last week of No Cave November, we've got some serious competitors.
