For some reason if we believe that someone’s watching, we behave differently.
Deadlines help us keep the habit of working, late
fees help us pay our bills on time, grades help us study, weight loss scales
keep us saying no thank you. When we believe that we may
be held accountable for our actions, even when truly we are accountable only to
ourselves, we show more self control.
I shared three kinds of accountability this week that we can use to change and maintain our new habits.
1. Hold yourself accountable to another person.
2. Hold yourself accountable to the public.
3. Hold yourself accountable to yourself.
The key as always, is to know thyself and consider your own nature. Knowing whether we are private resolvers or public resolvers is important. But more important is to set up accountability in your life...in what ever area you need it to accomplish great things and become all you were intended to be!

As I look back on what we've learned in just these 4 weeks at this HABIT Team Challenge, I'm encouraged and believe in the power to lose weight and keep it off for life!
The more habits we have, the less will power we'll need.
We manage what we monitor.
We always do better (at everything) if we hold ourself accountable.

What a way to teach our children that giving is truly better than receiving! and...a little of their candy is an OK thing...but a bucket full is better donated!! :-)
This was one of those weeks at The Healthy Weigh that I was so thankful for what I do for a living. To be a part of something so powerful and yet so fun is such a wonderful combination! Thanks to all of you who participated in Spirit Week!
Always encouraging you...and holding you accountable!
