Let The Games Begin!

The Olympic torch was carried into the Team Challenge stadium today by some powerful former Olympians...our Alumni! The torch was lit and the games were officially started! We had team pictures taken, met our teams, with some great names I might add, and remembered some former Olympians who have inspired us with their accomplishments.

We learned:
That through adversity, one can still strive for excellence.

Winning isn't everything, but finishing is.

There is no substitute for courage, hard work and determination.

With the Olympic spirit living inside of you, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

With the Olympic motto in our minds we are poised to have the most powerful Team Challenge in our history! Citius Altius Fortius...Faster Higher Stronger!

We started out our Team Challenge by spreading a little love around...in the form of $100 bills!  Congratulations to Steve B. from our noon group and Ruth E. from our 6 PM group.  They were in a drawing because they lost 8 pounds or more from the last team challenge to this one! They worked hard and it paid off...it always does!  A big shout out to Anita from our 6PM group who lost 21 pounds from the last Team Challenge!  Congratulations Anita!!!

We are having a team competition for the next ten weeks but the individual challenges will be just as important to each of our Olympians.

YOUR FIRST CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK:
Write down on a piece of paper how much weight you want to lose in these Olympic games. What do you want to weigh on September 25th at the closing ceremonies!?  Bring that in next week to be entered in a drawing for a fabulous prize!

I couldn't be more excited about this 10 week challenge! We have the Olympics as our focus, and I can already tell that this group is going to be special...I can just tell.

Get on Face Book and get the support you need all during the week and I will look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday! The Summer games are off to a great start!!

Always encouraging you,
Letha
