Mardi Gras!

We celebrated Mardi Gras a little different than the rest of the world today...instead of high fat foods, pancakes, and gluttoney, we lost 79.2 pounds!

The noon time group had some star performers, but in general had a tough week. They managed to lose 13.0 pounds for the week! The evening group showed their stuff by losing 66.2 pounds and hosting the top team of the week!

Team 'Power over Pounds' sported matching shirts with their logo as they received the grand prize for the week by losing 1.97%. "Healthy Weigh for life" was presented to Becky and Jerry. Congratulations you two... you picked a good week to stay focused and lose the most weight!

Team 'Boys to Thin' took the noon time jackets home again with a weight loss % of 1.16! With 28 days to go, they aren't planning to slow down!

I was excited and impressed to hear about the support and encouaragement that partners gave to each other this week. The team costumes were pretty amazing too. They say laughter is good for the soul...my soul was full last night!

As we look at the last 28 days of the Team Challenge, I challenged our teams to considering a sacrifice of sorts for the next 28 days. Letting go of negative
thinking! Since our thought life has EVERYTHING to do with our actions, it is crucial that we learn how to control our thoughts.

How do you become a good thinker?
1. Expose yourself to good input
2. Expose yourself to good thinkers
3. Choose to think good thoughts
4. Act on your good thoughts
5. Allow your emotions to create another good thought

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK:
Give up negative thinking...refrain from thinking that is not getting you what you want!

Sow a thought, and you reap an action;
Sow an Action, and you reap a habit;
Sow a habit, and you reap a character;
Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.

Nancy from team 'Skinnie Minnies' gifted us with 4 $25.00 gift certificates from Party City this week! Thank you to Nancy and Party City for helping us celebrate this week!

So many of our Team Challenge particiapnts are over the 20 pound mark already...we celebrate you and look forward to the next 28 days!

We've got 344 pounds to go to beat the world record...let's do this thing!

Letha
