Christmas in July!

Our teams received a great gift today, a gift just like Scrooge in A Christmas Carol! They took a journey to the past, present and future. And just like with Scrooge, the journey was hard and painful. As painful as the night was...joy came in the morning! Joy came because Scrooge had a choice about how he was going to live out the rest of his life and he choose a new life!

This was an important exercise for our teams to experience today. Creating urgency to lose weight and keep it off will be a tool that makes losing weight and keeping it off easier!

Everything we do , we do out of our need to seek pleasure or avoid pain. Using pain as our friend to change ANY behavior is one of the most valuable lessons I've learned. We felt some pain at the Team Challenge today...but because of that, I know freedom's coming!

Noon time housed our big winner for the day as team 'Shrinky Dinks' lost 2.46 for the week! Congratulations to Holly and Cherie, you're the winners of that great cooking class at Nancy's house! You beat a lot of teams to win this one. Good for you! Along with their great loss, the other teams lost a total of 83.8 pounds at noon. We're on our way to beating that record!

Team 'Big Hinnes' did it again this week with a weight loss % of 2.13 at the six PM weigh in. Ron and Tammy are going to have to take their jackets back one more time to add another touch! I'm proud of you guys for making the decision! To add to the loss for the day, our evening teams dropped another 73.2 pounds!

Your Challenge for the week won't be an easy one...I hope that you take this one very seriously and experience an urgency about your decision to lose weight and keep it off for life.

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK IS:
Link pain to 5, 10, and 20 years into the future, if you don't make permanent changes with your eating habits and lifestyle. Make a list of the pain you will have if you don't change! Create urgency!

For an extra ticket in the drawing, come in a repeat these words...
(LINK PAIN,NO GAIN) there's a little play on words that will remind you that using pain as your friend can make a huge difference in your future to keep your weight off for life!

I hope this week that you will take this challenge very seriously. Not for a ticket in the drawing...but for a change in your life.

Always encouraging you,
Letha
