Your Word For The Year!

I couldn't go through my list of "The Best of The Best," especially this time of year, without talking about the power of our words! We looked back to the Team Challenge of fall 2013 when we learned to "Let it Go." We let go of many things during that 10 week challenge, and poorly chosen words was one of them. Poorly chosen words can kill enthusiasm, impact expectations and hold people back.

Well chosen words can motivate, offer hope, create vision, impact thinking, and alter results!  That's what we're after at The Healthy Weigh...altered results!

I shared my yearly tradition of choosing a word for the year to study, master and focus on.  It was a tradition that started out years ago somewhat casual, and turned into something life changing as the years went on.  I challenged all of my Healthy Weigh friends to choose a word for the year that will alter their 2015!

Good words last and carry enormous power to help, heal, encourage and move us to a greater level of living. I'm thrilled to think about the ripple effect of all our challengers choosing a word for the year of 2015!

We had hundreds of words mounted to the walls for our challengers to take with them this week.  Some, chose a word quickly and took it with them...others are going to take more time this week to determine what their word for 2015 should be.  They'll ask questions like this..."What do I need more of in 2015?" "What am I desperate for?" "What word, if studied, mastered, consumed...would alter my life?" These questions will get them a little closer to choosing a word that will truly alter 2015 and beyond!

We had a lot of fun thursday giving away prizes and cash! Two people at noon and another two at 6 earned $50 by just showing up! We also gave away a FREE winter Team Challenge to two deserving "losers!" :-) Macie and Brooke were in the drawing for losing two pounds or more, and I pulled their tickets out of the bucket!  Congratulations to both of you!

Our winning teams for the week had GREAT weight loss!
Noon: "Determined Duo" Wendy and Jarrod, won with a 2.99% of weight loss for the week
6PM: " Good, Better, Best" Sue and Karen, won with a 3.43% of weight loss for the week!  WOW!!!

Congratulations to EVERYONE who had a weight loss over the holiday...what a great accomplishment!
Our red leather heart award went to Peggy S. for the second time with a 2.78% of personal weight loss!  Awesome job Peggy!

Your Challenge For The Week:
  • Choose your word for 2015
  • Get outside and exercise 3 times this week
  • Download week 6 "Body ~ Soul ~ Spirit, The Spiritual Perspective" and do the homework provided
One of the most important concepts we came to understand back in the fall of 2013, is that letting go takes courage. To grab ahold of something new, you've got to let go of something old...like a trapezes artist. You can't grab the new bar, without letting go of the old one.  That can be scary...but oh how exhilarating! Here's to letting go of the old, and grabbing hold of the new!

Always encouraging you,
Letha
