"But It's Good For ME"

Wow...Week # 9 of This Team Challenge was another one to write home about...or at least to write a blog about! We lost a bunch of weight, learned a lot of things and heard the bell ring of the very last lap of this race!

Our winners for the week took home horses sporting cowboy hats, bras and crowns...just what every pretty horse needs! Those stick horses have been around the track once or twice!

At Noon, team 'Losers are the New Winners' were winners again with a 1.60 % of weight loss for the week! Cindy and Karen, you have proved to be a couple of the strongest horses in the group. You have led the way and inspired us all!

Five O'clock proved to be the most interesting groups of the day! We crowned team 'Girls Just Want to Be Fit' with a 1.78 % of weight loss for the week. Cyndi and Jodee were thrilled to take home the horses! What they don't know yet, is that Glenda made her only mistake of this team Challenge! Team 'Vanishing Buns' REALLY won at 5 with a weight loss % of 2.31! Scott and Gina...not only did you win at 5, but you won for the day!!! You are the winners of our awesome thermal grocery bags!
We are going to have to get a vanishing bun on that set of horses for the history books!!!

At 6:30 we not only heard the news from Glenda of her discovery(mistake)...but we crowned another team that have lead the way this entire Team Challenge! Team 'Slightly Waisted' won for the evening with a 1.91 % of weight loss for the week! Veleta and Rosie are another set of horses that you are going to want to pace yourself with this week on the last lap!!

We lost 134.6 pounds this last week...that means we have 93 pounds to go!!! WE ARE GOING TO BREAK THE ALL TIME TEAM CHALLENGE RECORD! I'm so excited!!!

We focused on the miracle foods of the 21st century Tuesday at the Team Challenge. Although we looked at the amazing benefits that these foods offer, my encouragement was to "eat responsibly." We can't be in denial about the miracle foods, if these miracle foods are causing us to gain weight...or keeping us from losing weight. These foods, if eaten, must be counted, measured and used as our ever important source of fat when we reach maintenance. It was a great class.

Just as I was finishing my talk for the week, I heard it...the bell, the bell that is rung in a race when the horses come around for their very last lap! This is it people, the last lap of this Team Challenge! I used a quote that summed up the important last lap. "Without inspiration the full potential of a person would remain dormant. There is fuel in all of us that needs to be ignited!"
This is it...this is the lap to be ignited! The strong horses will move out with all of their might...the consistent horses will do all they can to keep up, and the weaker horses will follow close behind. That what this week's all about!

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK:
Think of a way to inspire/ignite the fuel in your fellow team mates! It's YOUR turn to inspire each other!

Shortly after the noon group left, one of the team mates called me to offer you all a little inspiration! Denise from team 'Big Hair,' offered two tickets wherever Alaska Airlines flies to the person with the greatest % of weight loss for the week! That person will by a stand by passenger...and need to pay 10% of the ticket and the taxes! WOW...what a gift Denise! The fuel has been ignited! You Rock!!!

We were gifted with great thermal bags by Sheryl of team 'In it to win it' and cases of water by Marion from team 'Mini by March.' Thanks friends for your great support!

I'm so proud of what you've accomplished, how you've supported each other and how you've jumped back in the saddle when you've hit a bump! I'm really looking forward to celebrating with you next THURSDAY,the 24th as we close out this amazing 10 weeks!

Always encouraging you,
Letha
