Listen to Your Writer

Week three of the Summer Team Challenge was another successful week! Our teams lost a total of 192.4 pounds for the week! We will surely break the record of the greatest % lost for any Team Challenge with success like this!

As we continue to look at re-writing our stories, at living a better story, I challenged our teams this week to listen to the writer. The writer being the author outside of ourselves who is moving us towards a better story. The one that knows right from wrong and nudges us to live our best life. It's the voice that says “hold your tongue," "don’t talk about other people that way," "forgive the friends you haven’t talked to.” ”I want you to look at the sunset.” ”Think about how short life is and how your troubles aren’t worth worrying about.” It’s the voice that says, “Take care of yourself.” “ Say no thank you”, ”go for a walk with a friend,” ”don’t allow food to win.” “ Don’t make food your idol.”

What if we were the character and we did what the writer wanted us to do...moment by moment, day by day. As uncomfortable as that might feel as we begin, we would start living a better story. When you are a better character, your story gets better too.

We are witnessing people living great stories every week at the Team Challenge! Between our segment, "Meet The Teams" and our great weight loss each week, we can't help but be inspired Tuesday after Tuesday!

At Noon this week 'The Sunsationals' won the honors with a 2.20% of weight loss. Heather and Robyn had a great week and were excited to receive Nancy's popular cooking class as their prize for the week! Congratulations to you two, your arranged partnership seems to be working out pretty well! :-)

At Six, the 'Downsizing Divas' were surprised when their name was announced as the winners for the week. Kimberly and Diana had a 1.82 % of weight loss for the week to take the win! They too, will enjoy the cooking class that Nancy so generously donated! Congratulations Kimberly and Diana, have fun with those dry erase boards too!

Thank you to Nancy for sponsoring our Challenge this week. We also received great prizes for our drawings from our teams mates! The generosity of the community of people in this challenge, make such a difference!

We are continuing our work on the inside as the weight loss happens on the outside, this week we will all be listening to and reflecting on week # 2 of the CD series, "Change Your Thinking~ Change Your life." A powerful lesson about our thought life.

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK:
Listen to week #2 (on CD one) Change Your Thinking~ Change Your Life, and do the homework provided in Personal Control Guide # 2.

I'm hoping to hear from you this week on Face Book and by email about 'listening to your writer.' It can be a powerful motivation as we strive to live a better story.
Until next week...

Always encouraging you,
Letha
