Perseverance!

Why is it more exciting to read about someone displaying perseverance in their life than it is to BE that person? Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did!
This week was a week to recognize the campers who have been through difficulties in the last 8 weeks, but who have persevered! Change is hard and life is difficult. Perseverance is a must when you're working hard to change your life permanently!

We celebrate two new teams with wins for the week!  At Noon, team 'Winners & Losers' took the win with a 1.92% of weight loss! Congratulations to Steve and Lynne, a couple of campers that have their very own story of perseverance!  We're proud of you guys!  At 6, team 'Sassy By Summer' won those beautiful walking sticks with a 2.19% of weight loss!  Congratulations to Cyndi and Tami! You two rocked it this week! A big thanks to Karen G. for her donation of those beautiful red camp chairs for our winning teams this week! They are going to be styling' at the Team Challenge camp out later this month!

Because of another generous donation by Mary and Jim of our Alumni group, two campers were gifted the beautiful deluxe camp chairs this week!  Every camper with a two pound weight loss for the week was entered into a drawing! Rochelle and Sarah (and her 8 children) are going to be sitting pretty this summer in those beauties!!

Speaking of the Alumni...Nice skit at the 6PM gathering!! You guys make me smile!

I was thrilled to announce our theme for the Summer Team Challenge that will begin July 17th!  It's all about the OLYMPICS!!  Two of our persevering campers will be the winners of the Summer Team Challenge!  The person at noon and again at 6 with the greatest % of weight loss for the week will win the challenge!!  Good luck to all of you!

We signed clients up for the Summer Team Challenge and I'm excited to announce that we already have over 25 teams ready to persevere through the summer! It's going to be a powerful, inspiring time!

With 166.2 pounds lost this week, we've got a little over 400 pounds to lose in the next two weeks to break the record of any Team Challenge!  If there was EVER a group that could do it...I think it's this one! I'm looking forward to the next two weeks to see what you're all made of!

Perseverance...maintaining a purpose, in spite of difficulties, obstacles or delays in reaching your goals! That's what greatness is all about! Keep walking forward campers...we'll make it together!!

Always encouraging you,
Letha
