Understanding Your Beliefs

Week two of this Team Challenge was more fun than a college class! We named our mascot (Pride), found out about field trips, and lost a BUNCH of weight! Congratulations to all of you who had such a great first week on the program.

Our "Ask The Alumni" table was in full swing.  A lot of questions were answer by our Alumni who have learned so much at The Healthy Weigh. Thanks you to all you former students in ORANGE for helping out and for providing prizes! It's great to have our Alumni in the house!

I was excited to present our university students with the first chapter of their workbook..."Understanding Your Beliefs, The Key to Permanent Change." The foundation was laid today and will continue to unfold this week as the students work through the first weeks' lesson and homework. Understanding our individual beliefs and seeing how they play out in the actions we take is crucial, not only to reaching goal weight, but more importantly, keeping it off. What we believe has everything to do with how we think, feel and act. "We live what we learn." Glenda helped me explain that today and then met with a group of students after class.  The "after class" will be a powerful tool for whoever chooses to participate in that group.

Our winning teams of the week took home prizes and a GIANT piece of notebook paper to add a little bling representing their team before next week.

Noon: "The Return of the Graduates" Jenn and Ken won with a 6.09% of weight loss for the week.
6PM: "Thick & Tired of It" Pam and Kirsti won with a 4.77% of weight loss for the week.

Outstanding week you all...Congratulations!

I announced the "Studying Abroad" challenge today as Glenda and I get ready to set sail on a Mediterranean cruise for the next two weeks.  Along with have brilliant adjunct Professors, you'll be working to win some prize money while we're gone as well.

Here's how it works:
Have perfect attendance the next three weeks and lose 5 pounds by May 22nd and you'll be entered into a drawing.  Each gathering will have four $50 winners!!

This week your assignment is to do your week one homework. Bring that back in next week to be entered into a drawing for more fun prizes.

We're off to an important start for this Team Challenge.  I'm so thrilled to be leaving you in the great hands of Dr. Jan Johnson and Mr. Dan Russell.  They will inspire and motivate, of that I'm sure!

Have a great two weeks.  We'll send a few photos!  I look forward to getting back and seeing you thriving!!

Always encouraging you,
Letha
