"But It's Good For Me"

We learned a lot on the climb this week! Education is motivation...so we all should feel REALLY motivated after Tuesday's class! We spent time talking about the "miracle" foods of the 21st century. Foods that have almost miraculous benefits, but if consumed without responsibility can cause obesity.
I always look forward to introducing these "miracle" foods back into my clients diet's during the important stabilization process, but even then, portions are critical!

Speaking of miracles...it's only week # 4 of this 10 week challenge and we've already seen a few miracles in the lives of our clients! MANY of our clients are already at and over their 20 pound marks! How Exciting. A few of our clients have already come off insulin for their type II diabetes! A great number of climbers are seeing themselves at numbers they haven't seen in over 20 years! Miracles...they are happening all around us!

A couple of new teams landed in first place for the week! At Noon 'Pirates of the Caribiners' took the win with a 2.32% of weight loss for the week! Jeremy and Kimberli, Yo Ho!!! At Six, team "Thin it to Win it' won with a 2.05%! Julian and Tanya had a great week! Congratulations to both winning teams. Hope you enjoy your new snuggly throws this week!..and thanks to our anonymous donor for sponsoring our winning teams this week!

We introduced an exciting ANCHOR this week called THE POWER OF ONE! How many people does it take to make a difference?...just ONE! We were inspired by a blog written by a gal that invested her time and energy on her 38th birthday giving to others. Performing 38 'Random Acts Of Kindness' was her goal on her 38th birthday! After posting on her blog about the experience, it caught on and people young and old all across the country have adopted this powerful birthday tradition. We thought it would be fun to use the week before Valentine's Day to spread a little love ourselves.
So this week we are going to perform random acts of kindness in our worlds. I'm looking forward to seeing the posts and hearing about the lives we touch this week. Here's a link to read about her experience...it will inspire you, I'm sure of it!

As we head into week # 5 of this Team Challenge, we are still focusing on "the work" it takes to not only lose the weight, but to keep it off for life! Mingma Sherpa shared some important information about motivation and rewards for permanent change. This week were are going to focus on our 3rd lesson of the CD. "Back Packs~ Controlling What You Can."

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK:
Listen to Week # 3 of the CD series. "Back Packs~ Controlling What You Can" and do the homework provided! This one is a biggy!!!

The climb is getting harder...who's up for it? I don't know about you but I'm glad to be climbing with this group. It feels safe and secure! Climb on!!!

Always encouraging you,
Letha
